Alisha Yadav Program Manager, Leadership Greater Chicago
Alisha is the Program Manager at Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC), a 30-year-old non-profit organization that cultivates Chicago's civic leaders. LGC is the Chicago's premier civic leadership development program. Alisha coordinates and manages the programming for LGC's year-long fellowship program, which is comprised of 40 of Chicago's top leaders. Throughout their program year, Fellows engage in monthly programming on civic issues such as education, economic development and healthcare, among others, to examine how to build a better Chicago.
Alisha is an alumna of Teach for America - Chicago. During her tenure as a Teach for America corps member, Alisha taught at a charter high school on Chicago's South Side and served as department chair for the high school diverse learning department. Alisha taught for an additional year after her corps commitment before transitioning to her current role at LGC.
Alisha is an alumna of Purdue University and PICC. In addition to working as an active member in PICC, Alisha served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Purdue Exponent. She currently resides in Chicago. In her free time, she can be found running Chicago's lakefront path in training for the Chicago Marathon.
