Lisa Abrego Account Executive, Digital Energy and International, Edelman PR - DC
Lisa supports several different digital clients. She serves primarily clients in the Energy & International team. Her work includes online conversation and media monitoring and reporting, as well as digital and social media strategy support for both public and private sector clients, including Fortune 100 companies.
Lisa joined Edelman D.C. as an intern in October 2013, supporting Health, Energy and International clients and was hired in January 2014. A native Salvadorian, she is fluent in Spanish and has supported a variety of client campaigns and programs that are bilingual or Spanish/Hispanic focused.
While at Edelman, Lisa was also selected as a Professional Fellow to participate in a professional fellowship program managed by the International Center for Journalists and supported by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). As part of this program, she served as a consultant and advisor to several digital communications and public relations firms and professionals in Kuwait City, Kuwait.
Before joining Edelman, Lisa worked in Social Media and Communications at the Inter-American Dialogue, a Washington-based think tank focused on Western-Hemisphere affairs. She also worked in communications for the Embassy of El Salvador in Washington, D.C.
Lisa earned a B.A. in Political Science and Public Relations with a minor in Art and Design from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
